Craig Sawyer, NWSID

Craig Sawyer graduated from the University of Washington in 1980 with a degree in interior design, and has been a professional member of the Northwest Society of Interior Designers since 1982. Since then, he has served as both President of the Puget Sound Chapter and Chairman of the entire organization.
In 1989 Craig Sawyer took an active interest in traditional millwork and detailing as found in fine historical architecture.  These interests lead to his making a specialty of traditional home design.  At the same time he also began to lecture on the subject of traditional millwork; both to interior designers and to the public.  In 1996 and 1997 his lecture, Beyond Basic Millwork, was presented to architects and designers at NeoCon in Chicago.  This same lecture was presented in 1998 at NeoCon/Canada in Toronto.  Craig Sawyer has written an article on millwork for Residential Architect that appeared early in 1999.
In 2000 Craig Sawyer prepared and delivered the seminar High Tech Homes For Low Tech Designers. This seminar was well received at NeoCon, NeoCon West, NeoCon Toronto, and twice at the Seattle Design Center. In 2002 Craig Sawyer presented his new seminar; Profitability: A State Of Mind, at NeoCon in Chicago.
